Bathroom Remodeling in Orem, UT

The plumbing side of your remodel, done right. Licensed, permitted, and built to last.

A bathroom remodel is a lot of moving pieces. The tile, the vanity, the lighting, the fixtures. But none of it works if the plumbing underneath isn’t done right. That’s where we come in. At Told Plumbing, we handle all the behind-the-wall work that makes a remodel actually function. Rough-in plumbing, pipe relocation, fixture installation, water line connections. We work directly with homeowners and alongside general contractors throughout Utah County, from Orem and Provo to American Fork, Draper, and out to Salt Lake County.

If you’re planning a bathroom remodel and need someone who knows the code, pulls the permits, and guarantees the work, we should talk.

Bathroom Plumbing Services We Offer

Sink Installation

New vanity, undermount, vessel, pedestal. We set the drain, connect the supply lines, and make sure nothing leaks.

Faucet Installation

Upgrading your fixtures or replacing a failing faucet. We install all makes and models and leave the water pressure where it should be.

Toilet Installation

Standard swap-outs, low-flow upgrades, bidet seats, rough-in adjustments. If it flushes, we install it.

How the Plumbing Side of a Remodel Actually Works

Most homeowners don’t know exactly what a plumber does during a remodel. Here’s the short version:

Step 1: Consultation and Scope

We talk through what you're building. Moving the shower? Adding a double vanity? Changing the toilet location? We map out what the plumbing needs to look like and quote the job flat-rate before we touch anything.

Step 2: Rough-In Plumbing

This is the behind-the-wall work. Supply lines and drain rough-in go in before tile and drywall. We pull the permit here, which protects you when it comes time to sell the house.

Step 3: Fixture Installation

Once the walls are closed and tile is done, we come back to install toilets, faucets, showerheads, valves, and supply connections. This is the finish plumbing phase.

Step 4: Final Inspection and Sign-Off

We test everything. No drips, no slow drains, correct pressure. If a permit was pulled, we schedule the inspection. You get documentation that the work was done to code.

Why Homeowners and Contractors Choose Told
We Pull Permits

Most handymen won't. Permitted work protects your investment. When you sell the house, unpermitted work becomes your problem. We handle the permit process so you don't have to.

We Know Utah Plumbing Code

Utah County has specific requirements for rough-in distances, drain slopes, vent placement. We know the code because we work with it every day. You won't fail an inspection because we guessed.

We Work With Your Contractor

We're not territorial. If you have a GC running your remodel, we coordinate directly with them. We show up when we're supposed to and communicate so the project doesn't stall waiting on plumbing.

Warranty on All Work

Our labor comes with a warranty. If something we installed or connected fails within the warranty period, we come back and fix it. That's the guarantee.

I spent weeks looking for the right company to replace two boilers at my work. Told Plumbing's customer service and bid won them the project. They were able to get the project scheduled rather quickly and even considered the weather so as not to cause too much disruption to our office conditions. The employees assigned to the week long project were professional, trustworthy, and independent workers, meaning they didn't interrupt our work. They left the work space clean and were very polite. The billing portion was simple and timely. And after two months, we have not had any trouble with the new boilers and we have reliable heat. I will use Told Plumbing again for both work and personal projects.

Thank goodness for Told Plumbing. Nothing worse than a cold shower at 6 am before work. Well, that was yesterday. Isaac came out after hours to help us. He did the best he could with the old unit in our new place, but to no avail, the thing was too far gone. Flash forward to today, Isaac was back by 12:30pm with his assistant Ron. The two of them had the old unit out, the new one in in about an hour, all connected, and the entire work area was clean and back to normal. They even carted off the old unit. And they did all this to the serenade of three barking dogs without missing a beat. I have their magnet front and center on the fridge should any other plumbing issues arise. If you have not guessed by now, yes, I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Ask for Isaac!!!!

We use Told Plumbing for their Handyman services. Several times we've had Marlin come out and he can do everything! He explains things well and will tell you what could be done before hand to save you money. I've never had a bad job done by them. I think the prices are very reasonable as well.

I replaced our water heater 8 years ago. I bought one at Lowes and installed it myself. (I hate paying people to do stuff I can do.) It had a 12 year factory warranty. It sprung a leak this week so I called Whirlpool about the warranty and they wouldn't go past the fact I'm not a licensed plumber. So I called Told Plumbing and told them I just wanted a new one installed, since I'm now a bit handicapped can't haul water heaters around any more. The guy that does the work called me and asked me about the brand/warranty and where I got it. When he got here, he said he'd take care of it. He ripped it out, hauled it down to Lowes, and got them to replace it for free with a newer model! He ended up only charging me for the installation which was less than the cost of the new water heater itself. Woot! THAT is what I call customer service! The guy's name is "JP"

Bathroom Remodeling FAQs

Plumbing for a bathroom remodel typically runs $500 to $2,500 or more depending on scope. A straight fixture swap on existing rough-in is on the lower end. Moving drain lines or adding a new shower from scratch is on the higher end. We quote flat-rate so you know the number before we start.

Rough-in for a typical bathroom takes 4 to 8 hours, sometimes spread over two days if inspections are involved. Finish plumbing after tile is done usually runs 2 to 4 hours. Timeline depends on how much is moving versus staying in place.

If you’re moving or adding plumbing, yes. A permit is required in Utah County any time you relocate drain lines, add new supply lines, or change the rough-in configuration. Basic fixture swaps in the same location typically don’t require one. We’ll tell you upfront whether your project needs a permit.

Yes. We do it all the time. We coordinate directly with your GC on scheduling so rough-in happens before drywall and finish plumbing happens after tile. If you’re managing the project yourself, we work off whatever timeline you set.

We work throughout Utah County (Orem, Provo, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, Lehi, American Fork, Springville, Spanish Fork) and into Salt Lake County (Draper, Sandy, Murray). We also take projects out toward Park City and up through Davis County to the Ogden area. Call to confirm coverage for your specific location.
