Water gets into places it shouldn’t – fast. A burst pipe, a broken water line, a slow leak that finally went too far. The damage compounds by the hour, and the longer a licensed plumber isn’t involved, the worse it gets. Told Plumbing is based right here in Pleasant Grove. We’ve worked in homes and businesses across Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lindon, and Orem – all the neighborhoods you know. We’re not a franchise dispatched from out of state. We’re your neighbors, and we’ve been doing this for over 30 years.
What We Handle After Water Damage
Water damage is rarely just one problem. Here’s what we bring to the job:
Emergency Plumbing Response
When water is actively going somewhere it shouldn’t be, call us first. Our emergency plumbing service is built for this – we respond same-day, assess the source, and stop the bleeding before anything else.
Pipe Repair
Pinhole leak, cracked fitting, frozen pipe that let go – whatever caused the damage, we fix the pipe itself. Pipe repair is one of the most common calls we get after a water event, and we’ve done it hundreds of times in homes across Utah County.
Water Line Repair & Replacement
A broken main water line is a bigger problem than most homeowners expect. Flooding, low pressure, pooling water in the yard – these are signs the line is compromised. Our water line repair team handles both repairs and full replacements.
Pipe Lining (Trenchless Repair)
If the pipe itself is damaged but the structure around it is still intact, pipe lining is a way to restore it without tearing up your floors or yard. We line the damaged section from the inside – no excavation required in most cases.Plumbing Inspection (Post-Damage Assessment)
After a flood or significant leak, you need to know exactly what was affected before you start repairing walls and replacing flooring. Our plumbing inspection service gives you a full picture of pipe condition, hidden damage, and what needs to come next.Leak Detection
Sometimes you know water is going somewhere – you just can’t find it. We use non-invasive methods to locate hidden leaks behind walls, under slabs, and in crawl spaces before they turn into a full-scale water damage event. (Page coming soon.)Signs the Damage Is Bigger Than It Looks
Water damage from plumbing doesn’t always announce itself. Here’s what to pay attention to:
- Water stains on ceilings or walls that appeared suddenly or are growing
- Floors that feel soft, buckled, or warped in a specific area
- Water meter is running when every fixture in the house is off
- Reduced water pressure that came on suddenly, not over months
- Wet spots in the yard in dry weather - especially near the street or foundation
- Mold or musty smell in a room that isn't typically damp
- Your water bill jumped significantly and nothing changed about how you're using water
One of these on its own might mean something minor. Two or three at once usually means there’s a pipe somewhere that needs attention now. We serve the entire Pleasant Grove area and can typically get out same-day. A call costs nothing. The damage that comes from waiting does.

AVERAGE Based on 16 reviews Posted on Yelp Jessica D.Verified I spent weeks looking for the right company to replace two boilers at my work. Told Plumbing's customer service and bid won them the project. They were able to get the project scheduled rather quickly and even considered the weather so as not to cause too much disruption to our office conditions. The employees assigned to the week long project were professional, trustworthy, and independent workers, meaning they didn't interrupt our work. They left the work space clean and were very polite. The billing portion was simple and timely. And after two months, we have not had any trouble with the new boilers and we have reliable heat. I will use Told Plumbing again for both work and personal projects.Posted on Yelp Timothy S.Verified Thank goodness for Told Plumbing. Nothing worse than a cold shower at 6 am before work. Well, that was yesterday. Isaac came out after hours to help us. He did the best he could with the old unit in our new place, but to no avail, the thing was too far gone. Flash forward to today, Isaac was back by 12:30pm with his assistant Ron. The two of them had the old unit out, the new one in in about an hour, all connected, and the entire work area was clean and back to normal. They even carted off the old unit. And they did all this to the serenade of three barking dogs without missing a beat. I have their magnet front and center on the fridge should any other plumbing issues arise. If you have not guessed by now, yes, I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Ask for Isaac!!!!Posted on Yelp Alice A.Verified We use Told Plumbing for their Handyman services. Several times we've had Marlin come out and he can do everything! He explains things well and will tell you what could be done before hand to save you money. I've never had a bad job done by them. I think the prices are very reasonable as well.Posted on Yelp CheapSeat S.Verified I replaced our water heater 8 years ago. I bought one at Lowes and installed it myself. (I hate paying people to do stuff I can do.) It had a 12 year factory warranty. It sprung a leak this week so I called Whirlpool about the warranty and they wouldn't go past the fact I'm not a licensed plumber. So I called Told Plumbing and told them I just wanted a new one installed, since I'm now a bit handicapped can't haul water heaters around any more. The guy that does the work called me and asked me about the brand/warranty and where I got it. When he got here, he said he'd take care of it. He ripped it out, hauled it down to Lowes, and got them to replace it for free with a newer model! He ended up only charging me for the installation which was less than the cost of the new water heater itself. Woot! THAT is what I call customer service! The guy's name is "JP"

Water Damage Restoration FAQs
Do I need a plumber or a water damage restoration company?
Usually both, but in a specific order. The plumber goes first. You need the source of the water stopped and the pipe fixed before any drying or restoration work can begin. Told Plumbing handles the plumbing side – stopping the leak, repairing or replacing the damaged pipe, and giving you a documented assessment of what happened. Your restoration company can take it from there.
How fast can you respond to water damage in Pleasant Grove?
Same-day for most calls. We’re based in Pleasant Grove, so we’re not driving from Salt Lake or sending a tech from a franchise hub 45 minutes out. Call us at 801-785-2000 and we’ll tell you what we can get to you today.
What's the difference between pipe repair and pipe lining?
Pipe repair is for situations where a section of pipe needs to be cut out and replaced.
Pipe lining is a trenchless method where we coat the inside of a damaged pipe with a resin liner – the pipe stays in place, we restore it from the inside. Lining works well when the pipe is in a location that would be destructive to access (under a slab, inside a wall). We’ll tell you which approach makes more sense after we assess.
What areas do you serve for water damage plumbing?
Our main coverage is Utah County – Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Orem, Provo, Lindon, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Spanish Fork, Payson, and Springville. We also cover parts of Salt Lake County (Sandy, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Riverton), Wasatch County (Heber City, Midway), and Davis County (Layton, Bountiful, Farmington). Full list on our service areas page.
Will my homeowner's insurance cover the plumbing repair?
It depends on the cause and your policy. Sudden, accidental damage from a burst pipe is often covered. Slow leaks that went unaddressed typically are not. We can document the work and provide an invoice that works with most insurance claims, but coverage questions are between you and your insurer – we don’t make those calls.
